Man-yo Park
The Man-yo Park is a symbol of Yugawara and one of Japan’s 100 historic parks.
Within the park, you will find the Manyotei, a structure modeled after ancient buildings in the Manyo period, a monument dedicated to Doppo Kunikida, the only person who read the poem about hot springs in Yugawara in the “Manyoshu,” and Rifuku Shirine, related to the legend of finding the Yugawara Onsen.
